Pokerstars (Read Review) will be celebrating their 50 billionth hand milestone around the 16th of September. I remember their promotion for their 40,000,000,000′th hand and it was amazing. They set record traffic levels every day. This post will go over the basics of the promotions they are rolling out for their 50 billionth hand. Here is a basic list of what incentives they are giving players for their support. I will go into detail about each promo as well further in this post.50 Billionth Hand Promotions:
- Milestone Hands - There will be 300 milestone hands, one for each millionth hand starting at 49,700,000,000. The winner of each milestone hand will win $50 for each VPP they have earned at the that table for the last 50 hands. This can range anywhere from $50 to $x,xxx. Just sitting at the table will earn you a minimum of $50 in cash, read more below.
- Super Sitngo’s – Pokerstars will be hosting a new line of sitngos at a wide range of buy-in levels. These super sitngos will each be 50 man events. Each buy-in level has an extra $50,000 prize pool which will be split amongst the winners of the sitngos.
- Depositor Freerolls – These freerolls are open to new players and current players. Poker Stars will host three separate $50,000 freerolls. All you need to do to get into one is make a deposit.
- VIP $50 – During this whole promotion you will be able to trade in a measly 3,000 FPP’s for $50.
Pokerstars 50 Billionth Milestone Hands
The exact date of the start of the 50 billion promo is based on the current number of hands so I can’t say exactly when it will start but Poker Stars (Read Review) thinks this promotion will begin on September 16th. Once they reach 47,000,000,000 hands they will start giving away prizes. Here is how it works.
At 1,000,000 hand intervals they will start awarding prizes. Based on their last promo like this one it will take around an hour for one million hands to be played. They will have the number displayed everywhere and there will be an announcement with each win so you won’t have to keep track of anything. They will be giving away cash and prizes on 300 different hands so it’s going to take a couple days.
If you are in a milestone hand you will win something no matter what. They will stop your table for a couple minutes and several messages will appear. A Pokerstars employee will also be visible in the chat box. He is there to answer questions and make sure the hand is played out fairly. Here is how the prizes work:
- The Milestone Award – Every player that is at the table will win $50 for each VPP they have earned in the last 50 hands. For small stakes players this usually equals out to 25 VPP, which equates to $1,250! Medium stakes players are looking at around 50VPP, which will earn them $2,500. High stakes players will be able to earn around 100 VPP in 50 hands so they can win $5,000! $50 gets added on to this number so you can certainly win a lot of money, but it gets even better….
- Double Your Milestone Cash! – If you win a piece of the pot on a milestone hand Pokerstars will double your VPP bonus. So let’s say you are a medium stakes Stud poker player and have earned 50 VPP’s in the last 50 hands. If you win the hand you will win double the $2,500! So that’s a $5,050 win for you!

If you are lucky enough to be at the table for the 50 billionth hand you will win $500 for each VPP, as explained above. This means you could be winning up to $100,000!
Poker Stars 50 Billionth Milestone Hand Strategy
I have a few tips that will help you to maximize your potential wins during this exciting promotion at Pokerstars.com (Read Review). Sitting down at 10 tables when a milestone hand is coming around is what most players do and it is extremely stupid. What is the poit of winning a milestone hand if yu’ve only earned 1 VPP? Here is the best way to do it:
- Start playing at as many tables as possible about half way to a milestone hand. This will give you time to get 50 hands under your belt. Use the cascade feature to make playing at over 4 tables smoother.
- Play at your normal stakes! Don’t bump your stakes up from $.50/$1 to $5/10 in hopes of winning more. You will do better if you stick to your normal stakes.
Super Sitngo’s – Poker Stars 50 Billionth Milestone
Pokerstars (Read Review) will be hosting a special series of sitngo tournaments for the 50 billionth hand promo. They have set them up at several different buyin levels so everyone can participate. Each 50 man sitngo series will have an extra $50,000 prize pool which will be split up amongst the winners. Here are the buy-in classes:
- $1.10
- $5.50
- $11
- $22
- $55
Let’s say you are playing in the $22 sitngos and by the end of the promo you have won 4 of them. If the total number of $22 sitngos played during the promo is 500, each win will be worth an extra $100 so you will win $400. There is no limit to how much money you can win here. You are not restricted to just one buy-in class either.
$50 VIP Bonus – Poker Stars 50 Billionth Milestone
During this promotion you will be able to trade in 3,000 VPP’s for $50 cash in the VIP store. This is practically doubling the value of FPP’s!
