Finding the best online casino can take a bit of detective work. I do not recommend letting casino portals decide which casino is the best for you although there are some (i.e. www.bestcasinoonline.com) that do a pretty good job. The usual trick used by rogue casinos involves their bonus policy. If you play for a while, win big and try to cash out they may try to take away your winnings if you didn’t clear your entire bonus. Read the bonus policy very carefully before making a deposit. Some bonuses can basically shackle you to the casino for months on end. I suggest opting out of a bonus unless the requirements are both fair and easy to understand.
The next type of casino uses a different sort of trick and it is important to note that this trick is used by a wide range of online casinos. If you hit a sizable jackpot you may have to wait a long time to see it paid in full. The casino will have a limit to how much you can cash out per month so if you hit a $75,000 jackpot you won’t receive a $75k wire or check right away. The limits vary from place to place but if there is a $1,000/week limit you could end up waiting over a year to get paid in full. The average life expectancy of a casino is only a few years so do your research before you make a deposit.
The truly rogue casinos tend to get caught quickly but they also pop up quickly. They will tamper with the random number generator and the casino platform to lower the odds of winning.
Here are a few tips for avoiding the types of casinos listed above:
