Titan Poker has always been a great poker room for those who enjoy playing 7 Card Stud. Titan is part of the largest poker rook network (iPoker) so they definitely have the traffic that many other poker rooms lack. Aside from boasting solid Stud traffic there is another major advantage to playing at this poker room. Titan Poker is well known for having very soft competition. Their network is home to more sports bettors and casino gamblers than any other. Before I proceed to review the Stud poker action at Titan Poker I have a suggestion to make. Some readers may want to visit Titan Poker right away so they can check out the Stud poker tables. My suggestion is to use a Titan Bonus Code before you start playing there. You shouldn’t let simple impatience get in the way of one of online poker’s best bonuses.
The 7 Card Stud ring tables at Titan Poker are active 24/7. The only other poker site with more Stud traffic is Pokerstars. I must be completely honest though. During the off hours at Titan Poker the number of active real money Stud tables is relatively low compared to other games. During peak hours you should find a decent mix of micro, small and medium stakes cash games going. High stakes Stud is not common at Titan but if there are usually some players looking to play HU Stud at the higher stakes.
Titan Poker does host 7 card Stud tournaments but not many. Like all poker sites they focus on Hold’em poker tournaments. That doesn’t mean that you will never see a Stud tourney. There are typically several each day at Titan. The same is true for sitngos. Titan’s Stud poker community is pretty close knit. They play each other day in and day out so it is not uncommon for a cash game player to get a sitngo going by chatting with the other players at the table.
Since so many inexperienced sports bettors play at Titan Poker you will notice new players join a Stud cash game and they tend to play poorly. Stud is more complex than Hold’em and the accepted strategies are less known. When you do see a new face at the table you shouldn’t assume that they are weak players so keeping an eye on their plays is a good idea. Using the notes feature is also +EV.
5 Card Stud is not a common game anywhere. I only know of a few rooms that offer it and Titan Poker is the largest. I personally think that 5 Card Stud is very fun. It is a simple game so you do not need to know any complex strategies. If you are not a good bluffer you will want to stay away from Titan’s 5 Card Stud tables since the other players can see four out of 5 of your cards. The traffic for this card game is very low. During the busy hours there may be 1-5 active real money tables at Titan Poker.
