The 7 card stud hi-lo tournament at the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is only 1 day away! You only have 20 hours left in which to register. So far my earlier overlay predictions are looking like they are going to happen, especially in the three 7 card stud events. First lets talk about the Stud Hi-li tournaments. Read below for the stats on the current playing field.
Low Stakes 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo Championship
So far this is the most popular our of all the Stud poker events. Less than 20 hours to go and there are 610 entries. That still adds up to around a $5,000 overlay. I don’t see any professional players in this event but I’m sure a couple will hop in because the first hand is dealt.
Medium Stakes 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo Championship
With only 82 entrants the medium stakes Stud H/L tournament has a $32,500 overlay. The buy-in is $215 but if that is a little beyond your bankroll there are plenty of sitngo’s running that are offering a seat to this event.
High Stakes 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo Championship
This tournament is going to have a huge overlay. Currently there are only 11 players in the field. With each paying the $2,100 buy-in the overlay now stands at around $127,000! This is the largest overlay I have ever seen for a 7 card stud h/l tournament. They are running several satellite tournaments to this event so if you can manage to take one down you will sure to be bringin home a piece of this overlay.
7 Card Stud Championships - 3 Days Away!
The 7 Card Stud championship tournaments are a lot less active than even I suspected but we still have 2 days and 20 hours until the registration closes. The low buy-in tournament only has 196 entries so if the tournament was to start right now there would be an $18,000 overlay. The medium stakes stud tourney has 25 players signed up. With a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool there is a $92,000 overlay as things stand now. The high stakes stud tournament only has 1 player in it so the overlay is around $146,000.
